Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Maine

A kid at my school had a loaded gun at school but didnt have the intentions of shooting it just selling it to make money & got cought when he no longer had a weapon in school but came forward. What could happen to him in court?

A lot. Depends on who arrested him and what the charge is. If he was arrested by the federal government and the gun was used in a crime he is facing a possible 10 year jail term. Maine state law also calls for prison for unlawful possession of a loaded weapon.

It is best to leave weaponary home unless the you are bringing it in for some school sponsored event (such as some sporting event) and only with permission of the school. Even then, keep it unloaded in the transportation of it.
