Re: cardiac arrest during laproscopy

You may or may not have a suit. The first question to ask in determining if this is worth pursuing at all is what are your damages? If your damages do not exceed $75,000, then you will be hard-pressed getting any attorney to take your claim. It is simply too difficult and too costly to bring medical malpractice cases unless your damages exceed that figure. Consequently, you should check with a heart specialist to see if you have any permanent damage and whether you need treatment. If you do, then the next question is whether a doctor who practices in a similar area as the one who performed your laproscopy is of the opinion that your surgeon was negligent and that this negligence caused your injuries. It typically costs $1500 to get this type of opinion. Please let me know if you would like further assistance. Good luck to you and thank you for your inquiry.
