Legal Question in Military Law in Maine

Civilian Employers

After working for a company for 6 months they asked me to submit a copy of my reserve orders, when at the begining they never said anything about them. Now they don't want to give me the time off to go to my drill weekend, what can be done to correct this??

Re: Civilian Employers

That is a federal law that applies to Reserves and employment/re-employment rights. USERA. Also, there is a very good website about these issues. If I recollect it is EGSR and also the US Department of Labor has information at its website on this issue.
