Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine

my dad pass away march 1 09 they re are 5 kids 3 that he gave away and his brother adopted them.iwas wondering if they have any rights.and if you write your wishes on papper and dont sign it is that legal?

As to your question about the adopted children, that depends on the adoption decree. If the decree says that the adopted children can still inherit from the biological father, then they do have inheritance rights.

And if you are talking about a hand written will, it does need to be signed to be effective.
