I am co owner of my deceased aunt's savings account. can I legally transfer money out of there into my own personal account?

There are various ways a bank can set up an account; presumably it is a joint account with a right of survivorship. If that is the case, then the funds are yours to do with as you wish and are not part of her estate or covered by her Will.

It is possible the co-ownership was only to allow you to access the account during her life to assist her, so, you do want to check with the bank as to the status of the account.
