Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine

My sister rec'd a letter frm Maine probate court informing her that my sister petioned the court to appoint her as my mother's personal rep.,and this is how we were informed of her death. None of the surviving children were mentioned in the will and the addresses to the rest of us are incorrect and we didnt rec'd the letter our sister did. How should we proceed on information on my mother's death and probate?

Much of the factual background is unclear from your post, but all heirs have a right to notice of Probate, and the right to contest a Will.

Since you now are aware of the Probate proceeding, it is appropriate to write a letter from each heir informing the Court of your contact information and relationship to the Decedent, requesting notice of all future proceedings, and either agreeing to the appointment of the Personal Representative, or seeking a hearing on that issue.
