Legal Question in Disability Law in Maryland

A man chooses a former judge to be his atty in a sex offense case. the prosecutor is an atty. who had 14 charges of sexual harassment pending against this mans atty- the former judge. should this case proceed with these two attys doing battle? can this man get a fair trial in this scenario?

The defendant is free to chose whomever he wishes to defend him. If the defendant chooses a man to represent him who is currently being indicted by the prosecutor, and the defendant believes this will hurt his case, the defendant is free to fire his attorney and hire a new one.
