Process in Court of Special Appeals

Can anyone give me a little info on the process in Court of Special Appeals. Someone is appealing decision I won in the Circuit Court. What do they have to do after filing the Notice of Appeal?

Re: Process in Court of Special Appeals

They need to complete the record (order transcripts), file a docketing statement, and a number of other procedural requirements set forth in the rules. Both sides need to designate the record extract. The appellant then needs to prepare the extract and file it with its brief. Appellee then files a brief, and then appellant gets to file a reply brief. The court then (usually) schedules oral argument, and both sides have the chance to argue the case. The court then issues a decision. The appeal is on the record - there is no new evidence or trial. See a lawyer if you don't have one - this is no place for amateurs.
