auto contract

dear sirs i purchased a car and traded in a van i signed all the papers and the contract used car but i was suppose to take them back 8300,00 dollar check but the guy gave me all the paperwork his copy of contract and my copy both copies are the one that says i am suppose to bring back check they have no copies of the contract does that mean that i dont have to take them the 8300.00 dollars back and if i dont can they come and take my car please let me know as soon as possible i am suppose too take checkj back on 6-30-00 i just think they screwed up also i know please i know car dealers finagle the numbers around to make it look like you got a lot for your trade please respond as soon as you can thank -you [email protected] please i know you cant answer all questions but please try to answer this one i will pay you if nessary thank-you

They may have screwed up and given you all the copies, but that doesn't mean they gave you the car. You owe the money. If you don't pay it, they can sue you and/or repo the car. In addition, if they can show that you planned to do this, they could have you criminally charged with theft.
