Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland

i am a licensed makeup artist and photographer living in Baltimore county Maryland. I want to set up a studio where I have clients coming in for consultations and shoots. I am planning to have a hair stylist come in and do hair when I am on assignment. Do i need a permit to set up such an office in my home. My home has a apt attached to it and that is what i am planning to use for the studio.

As a Franchise Attorney I can tell you this. When you set up any business, even a home-based one, you need to get a business license through the city. The business license department will be able to advise you on specific zoning, etc. requirements for your business. Consult with them or a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
