Will faxing a contract make it no longer legally binding?

I would like to print a contract, sign it, fax it to the second party, and have them sign it, and then fax it back to me. If I did this, would the resulting signed contract still be legally binding, despite being faxed around so much? If the contract would no longer be legally binding, what else can I do to have a contract signed by two parties in seperate cities as soon as possible?

In general, a photocopy or facsimile of a signed agreement is admissible to give evidence of a contract and its terms. However, you may want to take extra precautions depending on your facts.
