Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland
Boat price changing after deal and deposit made from dealer
I looked at a used boat at a boat dealer on Thursday and met with a dealer to make the deal and put down a deposit. We agreed on the price and I put down a $500.00 deposit, which she accepted. The deal was pending a sea trial. After speaking with her and her boss today, they are trying to raise the price by about $2400. Between the verbal agreement and what I have in writting, can't I make them stick to the deal?

If that is the price of the boat free of levy then it must be paid. An oral agreement is enforceable but has limitations.
