Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

If i pay the full amount owed to the apartment. ANd i sue my friend for half of the money owed. Is it a gaurentee that i will win or can he try to sue me also. I have proof that both names are on the lease.

There's never any guarantee that you'll win a lawsuit, or that the other side won't sue you as well.
