Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

My wife was given power-of-attorney for her sister.

Does signing the admission papers obligate us to pay the sisters bills should she run out of money? The wife did fail to follow every signature with the POA notation.

The facility does have the wifes power-of-attorney on file

Only after reviewing the admissions papers and the POA would an attorney be able to give you a competent answer regarding your situation. If you would like assistance, please feel free to contact me at Pcook@cooklegalservices.com.
