Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

2nd degree assualt

my girlfriends mother has pressed charges against,when i was inconcerated, in the state of maryland. saying i assaulted her when i said nothing to her or touched her, is it possible for her to drop the charges if she wanted and if she does will the state pick it up. And can they arresst me if i have no lawyer...will the date continue if she does'nt show or does she not have to be there???

The State can, if they choose, to attempt to prosecute. They may also try to convince their "victim" to testify. Definitely get a lawyer! And as far as arrest without a lawyer, I'm not sure what you mean. Please provide more details.
