Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

A felony from 5 yrs ago

A month after I turned 18, I picked up a felony charge. No statement was ever taken from me with the police. When I went to court I pled guilty to the felony not understanding what my choices were at the time.n It has now been 5 yrs later with no prior convictions not even a speeding ticket. I am going to college for my criminal justice degree in hopes of one day being able to give back to my community. I am trying to find out information or a reasonable priced lawyer to maybe file a petition because I havent been able to work in the last five years other than fast food. No employer will hire me although its been 5 yrs. I can not continue to support my family like this and is in desperate need to fix something that is holding me back. so if you could please direct me into the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
