Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

My husband is accused of 1st degree murder, he is completely innocent, there is no doubt in my mind, I'm 100% sure that he did not do it. I have hired an excellent attorney, but I want to know more about what are the rules of a 1st degree murder charge, and more about what motions we can file (it what.e. motion to supress etc.) We haven't recieved the discovery yet, please let me know more about what I can do

If you have hired an excellent attorney to represent you husband, my advice would be to back off and let the attorney you are probably paying a lot of money to do his/her job. You are not helping your husband by trying to play detective/lawyer. Your lawyer will know what motions are appropriate to file. You are already in over your head and compromising his case -- This is a PUBLIC forum, meaning that the general public, including prosecutors and police, can come on this site and have access to your questions and my answers. As such, I would STRONGLY recommend that you NOT post any more informational regarding your husband's case here, unless you choose the "paid" option first, which gives you a limited representation with the attorney answering the question (and therefore confidentiality).

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******

The excellent attorney that you have already hired should answer all of your questions. If he or she will not, then you have a serious problem. Try asking the attorney, and if that does not work, contact the Attorney Grievance Commission.
