1)Defendant 13 mo. old major felony charges; (trial goof dist.ct,by state;defendant walks 2/2001.)

2)May 11,2001,def.arrested f/2nd deg. assault(county sheriff),incarcerated.50Kbond. 3)Bail review, State asks no bond; now,def. no bond. 4)As of 11/19/01, def. jailed f/203 days on 2nd degree assault arrest. 5)No trial date set f/latter. 6)Trial, re: item#1, above,set f/This Monday,Circuit(county).7)Public Def.failed to subpoena only eyewitness for whole case. 8)defendant told PD i-witns also His only witness forPossible Good Outcome. 9)no time to find atty;notified Court and PD office,pro-se, of PD error Tues,11/27/01. Def. has heard nothing. Rights? Now what? (question from sig.other)

You can ask the Judge for a postponement to allow you time to summons your witness. In most cases the Judge will grant that request as failure of the Court to give you a reasonable amount of time to bring in a witness might be grounds for reversal of any conviction.
