Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

My Sister in law let me put my phone in her name now claiming ID theft

My sister in law allowed me to place my home phone in her name and also a walmart credit card so I could purchase school clothing for my daughter. I had been paying her monthly on these things until last year when I became ill. She got mad that payments stopped and to get the items off of her credit report she told them that she never authorized the bills to be in her name so now I have state charges for this. I have never been in trouble before in 30 years so I am freaking out. I have two children to take care of and many health problems now.the walmart credit card was paid off and there is only a 500.00 phone bill which she should be taking me to court for not claiming id theft.

You definitely need to get a lawyer. If you can't afford one (check around, prices vary widely), get the public defender, who needs 10 business days notice before court.
