My neice lives in Maryland, generally
how long may the police take to
charge her with a crime? She was at
the home of her brother in
December 2006 when controlled
substances were found. It is Now
late September 2007 and a warrant
was just issued. Where do we look
for the rule in the criminal code
pertaining to time length

Time of charges to warrant
The police may charge minor crimes within a year, all others, there is no time limit.
