Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Vilation of protection order..My girl friend has a prtection order aganist me. we have been seeing each other for some time now.We were told that it would take longer to get it canceled, so we were going to let it expire. I was driving my girl friend home and got pulled over for speeding.Which I recieved a writen warning. I was arrested on the spot. They asked if my girl friend who has the protective order against me, leave with my truck. I believe that my truck should have been inpounded. But unstead, they let her take the truck, knowing I would have to make contact with her to get the truck back. Would this case be thrown out because of this. Thank you,

The more likely charge would be that you were in violation of the order when the police stopped you for speeding. The same officer could be a witness for the state.

If your girlfriend left your truck at an agreed spot for you to retrieve after she left, there would not be a violation.

No it wouldn't get thrown out just because the officer let her take the truck later. You have already committed the violation at the time of the traffic stop. Stay away from these girls that would put a protective order on you! And get a lawyer. It could be dismissed for a multitude of other reasons.
