Re: Workplace Discrimination

Your question, as a general matter, is

devoid of the specifics which one must have in preparing a case for trial or even for mediation. You say it's a claim involving discrimination. What kind of discrimination and what are the attendant and relevant details which go with it? Without knowing much more of these necessary and relevant details, there is no way to guide you in a meaningful manner as to your preparation for the scheduled mediation.

I would suggest that you arrange for a consultation with a D.C. attorney who is approrpriately knowledgeable and experienced in the legal areas which pertain to your case in particular, and which, unfortunately, are not immediately evident from your question.

Re: Workplace Discrimination

I agree with Mr. Hendrickson, you should seek the advice of an attorney who practices in the area.

However, if you insist on going this alone, you can find resources in the law libraries. UDC law library is open to the public. Also, the Library of Congress Law Library (Madison Building) has good resources.

Nevertheless, it may be worth spending money on an in-person consultation or taking an attorney with you to the mediation who is on contingency.
