Child guardianship

I have a situation that I want to give one of my close friends my rights to take care of my child in the case that I am not be able to take care of my chile for any reasons.

I would like to give full power to my friend. What would be the necessary steps to do such? Please advise.

To be specific, I want my frient to be able to act just like I am able to. Please let me know the procedures and how to proceed. Thanks

You and your friend must file a court petition for her/his appointment as the guardian of your child. This is done in the circuit court of your county. A lawyer who is experienced in these matters can help you do this quickly and efficiently.
