Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

child support

I have 3 children and i pay 1066.00 every month for child support. The mother says she will request for an increase. I know that i am paying to much now. Is she entitled to an increase? The mother lives in maryland and i live in south carolina

She will need to establish that a material change in circumstances has occurred since the existing order was entered. Examples include a significant increase or decrease in the income of either or both parents, increased costs for daycare, medical expenses, etc.

child support is based on the income of the parties, the medical, educational and child care of the minor children. All of these items are calculated into the Maryland Child Support Guidelines.

If there is an existing order, the Court would have to find that there is a material change in circumstances to modify the amount being paid.
