All states have a residency requirement prior to the filing of a divorce. That requirement in Maryland is that a person must live in Maryland for at least a year, prior to the filing of the divorce. You would need to seek the advice of a Florida attorney and ask what the stte of Florida's requirement is. If your wife is a residet of Florida as you state, then she can file for divorce in Florida. But if she is only temporarily living in Florida and has not re-established her residency, than she cannot file divorce there, until that requirement is met.
