Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My husband has been on disability for three years now and his daughters mother is trying to get child support, she has tried before and didn't get it. She is trying again because she thinks she can attach my wages which i was already told that she could not. My question is i was told since he is on disability that he is not responsible for child support as long as he is on disability is that true or was i told the wrong information?
