Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Legal Separation

My husband wants to leave the marriage after six months. He is paying the two months fee to break our rental lease. We each have been paying 1/2 of the rent. Is there anything else that is due to me? I know that I have not cheated and he pays for my insurance through his job.

If you have made any significant purchases since getting married, those items are subject to being split up as part of a divorce proceeding. You should also try and work out an agreement if there are any joint debts as to who will be responsible for them. You didn't mention it, but if there are any joint children, there will be significant issues to be resolved about them.
