I had physical and legal custody but recently changed it and let him start writing letters.i am fearful visits will be in the future is there anything I can do? As the legal custodian you can control visits until a court orders otherwise. The father could file a court petition for visitation which you can contest and hopefully bring about a fair resolution. Incidentally, you need to understand the role of an attorney since you have one. Your attorney works for you, and you must communicate your goals to her and allow her to advise you on the law and the best way to achieve the remedies you are seeking. But in the final analysis it is your decision, not hers, on how you want to proceed.
