Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Is there any suit that can be filed against my childs ather who got someone else to take a Child Support DNA test for him and sent in his brothers information as him (fraud) even though I did not suffer any provable monetary damages, could I file for emotional damage because I did not find out he had don this until a week after the results and they showed the pictures of his friend who took the test and the fake lcence he had made.H eventually did take the est but the week the test results said he wasn' the father I almost went crazy. Is thre any suit for this because it is fraud and child support will not do anything because he eventually came in. I live in Virginia, but this occurred in Baltimore MD,where he lives.

You cannot file for emotional damages. You can file for back owed child support, plus interest. Plus you can tell the local D.A. and have him press criminal charges against the Dad.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.********
