Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

my ex wife (divorce not final yet) has accessed my 401k and a checking/brokerage account with ETrade. She did this by using my social security # and changing the username and login. Is this illegal? She is not listed on either account, I am the sole tenant of each.

Yes. There are a number of federal statutes that make this sort of electronic tampering illegal. She may or may not have a claim to the value of the accounts (i.e., they may or may not be marital property subject to division my the Court or by agreement) but that doesn't give her the right to tamper with your electronic access to your own accounts.
