i am caring for my mother in law which is a caregiver my wife do not drive and i have to transport her , and she recently had a stay in the hospital which we thought he wouldnt make it she was on breathing machine and i stayed that week and half can i be denied fmla

Yes, under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, in-laws are not included. Therefore, you wife will have to take leave. The website for the FMLA is www.dol.gov/esa/whd/fmla/

The Department of Labor is in charge of administering the Act.
