Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Animal Control Complaints

Our neighbor has made two complaints against us to animal control. Last spring for nuisance animals this spring for neglect. Both dropped. They are totally unreasonable with request to keep dogs locked up 24/7. Dogs are fenced in 4 acres when good weather and kept inside at night. They sleep on their own beds in our room. These people have a history of this behavior with all the neighbors. Including yelling a neighbors for walking on their own property. I am unable to use 1 acre of property for the dogs because I do not trust them. My wife had a miscarriage last year. I dont know if the stress of this had anything to do with it but she is pregnant again and I want this stopped before I find out. Our dogs are very dear to us. What can we do?

Re: Animal Control Complaints

There's really not much you can do to stop people from filing these kinds of complaints. The authorities are required to investigate when complaints are filed. I suggest you live your life the way you want to, be considerate of all neighbors, and don't let these neighbors intimidate you.
