Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

My Mother is a wheelchair bound stage 3 Lung Cancer patient , Her only point of access to her home is by a wheelchair ramp in the back of her house, There is a construction project behind the house and vehicles from the sight are blocking the alley and access to the ramp, She is a high risk for a sudden Medical Emergency and my question is what can i do to maintain an open and unblocked point of access to the ramp in case of a Medical Emergency and for her to get out of the house for her Medical appointments and treatments?

The first thing you should do is speak to the construction supervisor and ask him to make sure that your mother's access to the ramp is maintained. In all likelihood they will cooperate with you. If not, go up the company ladder until you find someone in authority who can make this happen. Your legal remedy would be a nuisance suit, but that should be a last resort, as it would be expensive and time consuming.
