Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

my neigber is renting and their landloard refused to provide central air for them in the summer months, as a result to this they have window units everwhere but one of the units in particular has created a hole in my basement from the water run off. I asked the landloard and renters to fix this problem but the renters refuse to move the AC unit elswhere and the landloard put a make shift pan up but he refused to pay for repair of any damage, oh the pan did not resolve the water run off issue either. I have filed a civil claim against the landloard after a breakdown in communication. He has now retained an attorney to fight against me. What should I do & I do not know the renters names at all. Thanks

Easy answer -- hire your own attorney to represent you. If not their attorney will run circles around you in Court.

It is important that you name both the landlord and the renters as defendants in your lawsuit.

If you have insurance (either owner's or renter's), you can also file a claim with your insurance company so that you can have the problem fixed immediately.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
