Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Noise Laws in Baltimore City

I live in a townhouse in Baltimore City, MD. My next door neighbors have a drum set. When the set is being played, it creates sounds at a level that are disturbing inside of our home and on our outside porches.

Are the neighbors violating any laws? If so, how should/can we proceed with filing a grievance.

They seem to be reasonable people, but we want to know what the law says, in the event that they become unreasonable.

I suggest you check with the police to see if your neighbors are violating any noise ordinances. You might also approach them to inform them of your concern and see if some accommodations can be reached as to when and how frequently they play their drums.
