suing service dept of auto dealership

when suing a auto repair shop, can damages include inconvenience, aggravation, frustration, and loss of peace of mind? this repair shop has failed to fix the problem with my car. they have instead patched the problem that keeps reoccurring. if the anwser to the above is yes, how do you put a dollar amount to the above? the car is a 1996 pontiac grand am. i am the original owner, and the car has 110,000 miles on it. the problem occurred at 89,000 miles.

The type of damages you are seeking is generally not recoverable in this kind of case. I suggest you take the car to another shop and sue for the cost of getting the repair done properly, plus any overpayment you think you made for the multiple times you tried to get the shop to fix it. However, you'll need a mechanic to testify as to the malfeasance of the first shop. Good luck!
