If you are asking about case status of the case pending with the USCIS, yes, you can check your case status on Internet, but you'll need a CASE NUMBER. Having an individual name is not enough.

If you have a name and an A#, you can also try to call the USCIS Customer Service.

If you want to do this online you'll need your the case number or "receipt number" USCIS assigned to it. You can find the case number on the "receipt notice" USCIS sent you after you filed your application or petition. There is no way you can look this up by only your name.

You can try making an "Infopass" appointment to meet with a USCIS officer to discuss your case. Go to http://infopass.uscis.gov/ to schedule one. It'll ask for your receipt number and "A number" -- your alien number -- but it may be possible to convince them to speak with you even if you don't know it. From your zip code it looks like you're in the Beltsville area (I'm in Rockville) so you're local USCIS field office is in Baltimore. Try scheduling an Infopass appointment. At a minimum, I'm sure you'll be able to discover your receipt number and use it to get case status online. Good luck with everything. I hope your case is successful.
