Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Maryland

what happens if an entity it's suiting me for importing a couple of items tham had copi rigths here in the u.s they said they could suit our company for damages the product was seized in customs and never got into our possession so we never sold any item and make no profit out of it our company it's a corporation it was created with 1000 shares at $1 each can they suit me for more than that and if so and they get the judgement on their favor what can they take from me or my bussines?

They can sue for more than that, but if there were no other infringing products imported (all were seized), they would not have any actual damages. If you were personally involved in the infringing conduct, they would have a claim against both you and the corporation. You need to get intellectual property counsel right away, and unless you have real defenses to liability, you should seriously consider settling. If you can provide information on other infringers (up the chain), then you may be able to get a favorable settlement.
