Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland

Protection from suncontactors taking my clients

Is there a form/contract that I can have subcontractors sign to protect myself from them taking my clients if they decide not to work for me anymore?

The type of contract you are referring to is a non-competition contract. Sometimes it is referred to as a "non-compete" or a non-competition clause if it is just one part of a contract.

You may be able to find a form contract in a do-it-yourself legal book or software package. (These are not a good idea as they are not specific to your situation, but people use them anyway.) If you find you need to hire an attorney to help you out, feel free to call me. The initial consultation is complimentary, and I always work out reasonable rates depending on the work that is needed.

Good luck.
