5 years later want payment

i was a renter 5 years ago and was kicked out. now i have a 2600 dollar bill that they want payment on. statute of limitations is past. do i have to pay this bill? i had no notice in 5 years.

If there was no judgment entered and you did not sign the lease under "seal" then you may have a statute of limitations issue. Simply being old does not mean that the statute has run. If the case was filed and never served that will stay the statute as well.
