Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland

I got a letter in the mail to appear in court for not makng payment to the apt. complex and this was not true because i make my payments on time and i am not owing them.i went to the office and they told me it was sent to a wrong addres that i wasnt owing them.they said i should disregard the lettr.should i just let it go like that?what do i do?do i trust them without going to court because my name and complete address was on the letter and the letter was even dated 11/30/2009 which i got on the 9th of feb.2010 at 4pm.

If someone filed a lawsuit against you (including an eviction), you would be served with a complaint and summons from the court. If you are, answer it because they got the wrong person. If not, don't worry about it unless you do. Regards,
