I am in a six month lease with a homeowner. I rent the day light basement. We split the utilities 50/50. At first she had one friend upstairs. Now, this friend brings his 2 daughters. Her son is extremely quite, but with 3 children upstairs above my head, I want out! There is nothing in the lease about this, of course.
If I cannot break the lease, is it worth my time to hire an attorney to try to get out?
Whether you can break the lease depends on the terms of your written lease. If you do not have a written lease, the answer will depend on Maryland landlord/tenant law. I strongly recommend that you hire a Maryland real estate attorney to assist you and discuss your options and chances for success.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
