If the case was settled without your consent there are a host of issues for which you need to speak with an attorney. Obviously there is the issue of why you were not contacted nor paid but there are matters pertaining to the party making the payment and possible mis-representations. Contact me to discuss.

First, write to your lawyer and ask for the update of your case, a copy of any settlement agreement, if any money has been received, and if not when does s(he) expect to receive it. If s(he) does not respond or has done something against your instructions you should read how to file an attorney grievance in Maryland.(www.courts.state.md.us/attygrievance)
