Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Maryland

i was seeing a pain management doctor and he told me i tested positive for an ileagal drug and told me he could not write me another prescription for my pain meds so i found another doctor-but was told he couldnt see me because of what was in my records from the other doctor-was my privacy rights violated?

Typically when you go to a new doctor they get a release from you so they can obtain your records from any previous doctors. No responsible doctor would even want to treat you if you were unwilling to give the doctor access to your prior records. So it's not likely that there has been any privacy violations here.
