Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Maryland

Question: is there a law governing wrongful amputation in the state of California

I'm writing a paper for school and I cannot find any pertinent information or legal code.

You would need to ask a California medical malpractice attorney. This page is for Maryland attorneys. With that said, I have never heard of a civil claim of "wrongful amputation." Improperly amputating someone's limb or other body part would likely fall under the broader term "medical malpractice." If the person died as a result of the amputation, then perhaps a "wrongful death" action.
