Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

We got a new boiler 3 years ago. The company didn't plug the hole in the flu from the old furnace. I called the company. They said "I'm surprised you've survived this long". My husband, 2 yr old and I all have the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. And I have unexplained liver problems. (I don't drink). What should we do? We are so very worried.

You should see a lawyer, and do it soon, as the statute of limitations could run out. If they were required to plug the hole and didn't do it, and you may have a claim, although there could be issues if you were aware of the problem. You will also need to get medical treatment, and to determine if your symptoms were caused by this problem. And of course you need to fix the problem, but perhaps it would be wise to get it checked out first, and then document the situation (photos, video, perhaps CO testing).
