Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

I was in a car accident in feb. when this lady side swiped my car scratching the back bumper of my car all the way up the side to the front passenger side. The only damage to her car was the the front drives side tire well was scratched. She is claiming Im at fault and suing me for 15000...all of which she claims is injury. In her summons she provides no bills just a typed out summary from her lawyer of her medical expenses totaling about 4000. How do I win this claim and refute all her bogus accusations?

If you reported the incident to your auto insurance company, they have a duty to defend you. This means that they must hire a lawyer for you and defend the matter on your behalf. If you have not let your insurance company know that you were sued, you need to do so IMMEDIATELY, as there are time limits on how long you have to answer/respond to the complaint filed against you.

If you did not have insurance, you should hire an attorney on your own. You cannot successfully defend the lawsuit without a lawyer.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
