Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

I fell at a gas station and the attendant saw me on the ground unable to get up and did not help me or ask if I was OK. I wrote an email to BP who told me the station was independently owned and I would have to contact the owners directly. I suffered bruises, scratches, and a strained back according to my Doctor and still in pain. Is the gas station liable for anything?

It depends....why did you fall? If you slipped on something (for instance, ice or oil on the ground) and fell, you may have a case for negligence against the gas station. If you simply fell (because it was your fault), you will not have a case. Consult a Maryland personal injury attorney to discuss the specifics of your case and your options moving forward.

There is a very good chance the station owner is liable for some damages. You should speak to an experienced lawyer about this as soon as possible. I handled a very similar case not long ago and the plaintiff received a substantial settlement. Without knowing more about your case, I cannot tell if you would also be entitled to damages, but I would be happy to offer you a free consultation. Feel free to call at 301.294.6570 or email at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you!

Yours,

Sean
