Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Hello, my foot got stuck in a hole in front of the house which caused me to fall on concrete. My landlord patched this issue up a year ago cheaply and poorly. Can i sue for medical bills to be paid time off work and pain and suffering? if so where do i start?

To have a valid negligence claim against your landlord, you would have to establish that the redevelopment of the hole was done improperly, and you might have to sue the contractor who did the repair if there was one. You would also have to prove that you didn't know that the hole had reappeared, which would be hard since you presumably pass by there regularly. Your better option, at least for medical bills, would be to make a claim against the homeowner's liability policy. I suggest you consult with an experienced personal injury attorney who can evaluate the claim after a more detailed presentation of the facts.
