Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

harassment

This is not a child custody case, but stems from an ugly fight for my husband to continue in his court ordered visitation. The 16 year old child has filed fales accusation charges against her father, and she is now harassing my daughter and her mother is harassing me. Her father at this point does not want to see her anymore because of what she has done. However, they will not leave us alone. The charges were unfounded and declared as rediculous just last year. He hasnt seen her, only supervised for a few hours in over two yrs. Now more false accusations, and it is ruining our lives. What can I do legally to protect me and my family? My husband has suffered tremendously and has become sick and unable to work because of this, and his daughter is now contacting my daughter and warning her to keep her baby daughter away from him because he is a child molester. It is affecting his relationship with our new grand daughter, and ruining our lives. Is there any way to keep this propaganda from infiltrating our home? Legally, there HAS to be something that can be done. My husband is innocent, and the daughter accusing him of it has been alienated from him through hypnotism and bribery along with other drastic means.

Re: harassment

The first thing you could do from a practical standpoint is arrange with your phone company to block calls from them. If you have caller ID, and you recognize their # as calling you, don't answer. If the accusations are entirely spurious, presumably your daughter recognizes that and isn't letting it interfere with your relationship with her and her child. As far as legal action is concerned, if you think you can show that the ex is behind it, you could file a court petition in the divorce/visitation case asking for an order prohibiting this conduct.
